I'm so excited to share the beautiful wedding of Kenna & John at Virginia Tech's Hahn Horticulture Garden. First of all, Kenna & John are such a sweet couple and I don't think I've ever been to a wedding where everyone is just so friendly, kind and incredibly welcoming! I feel so lucky to have been a part of it all!
I was once again lucky enough to second shoot for Cassie Carter Photography. Anna & Jeff's absolutely gorgeous wedding was at Braeloch on Glenburn Farms, a lovely venue in Vinton, VA with stunning mountain views and a pretty spectacular indoor space.
Yeony & Kent got married at the Inn at Westwood Farm, and it was by far one of the most unique weddings I've had the privilege to be a part of. Yeony is from Korea, and she met Kent while he was teaching there. They fell in love there and have since moved to Austin, Texas where just prior to their wedding, they had completed their masters degrees. After this wedding in Virginia, they had another ceremony in Korea before a well deserved honeymoon throughout Europe. Their wonderful friends and family were so kind, and two close friends actually performed the ceremony together, filling it with wonderful stories about Kent & Yeony's relationship.
Zach & Nicole first met as co-workers at Wilderness Adventure (which is where I first met them too). Wilderness Adventure has a history of staff falling in love and more marriages have started there than I can remember, so Zach & Nicole are in good company!
Any time I'm able to take photos at the venue, I count myself lucky. It's so nice to be able to get a little preview of the wedding and walk around with the couple. When the venue is an historic home with a rustic barn and acres of farmland, it's a dream come true!
I love being able to take engagement photos at a place that's special to the couple. Hollins University is where Hannah & Derek's relationship began and we were able to revisit so many sentimental spots on campus, included where Derek had proposed exactly 6 months earlier! Hollins is a gorgeous old campus, and walking through with these two was so much fun!
I was so excited to meet Grace + Cleo for their engagement session since it was such a beautiful weekend in Roanoke! We started at the Roanoke Mountain Overlook off the Blue Ridge Parkway, where we had some gorgeous views! From there, we went downtown for some more shots and found a beautiful cherry blossom tree to cap off the day! For the first engagement session of the spring, it was more than I could have asked for!
