When I first talked to Beth about her wedding and she told me it was going to be at Barboursville Vineyards, where Julian proposed, I was incredibly excited. When she told me the ceremony would be at the ruins, I was giddy! This entire day was absolutely gorgeous and Beth & Julian are two of the nicest people in the world. Hearing Julian, who is from Colombia, speak about his new family in America was so touching. It was such a pleasure getting to work with them, and I wish them all the happiness in the world!
Lesley & Michael were so much fun to hang out with for their engagement photos! We walked around a few places at Carvin's Cove in very chilly weather and made some magic! I'm so glad the leaves changed in time for our photos, they were absolutely gorgeous! I so excited for Lesley & Michael's wedding next summer and more fun photos!
Bridal portraits can be so much fun, and Allison's definitely were! We started at the Greenfield Recreation Park in Botetourt and it was a beautiful day. Allison pretty much either had a huge smile on her face or was laughing at her mom the entire time. There was so much happiness from start to finish, it was just a joy to photograph! We took the last few photos up at Ballast Point Brewery (with much encouragement from the patrons!) and got to watch a beautiful sunset over the mountains.
Kait and I first met four years ago working at Wilderness Adventure. We both worked in the Group Programs department, organizing and planning all sorts of groups and events throughout the year. We got to know each other very well and have stayed friends ever since!
I was so happy to be a part of Carrie & Paul's beautiful wedding at Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing. Weddings can sometimes be hectic and a little crazy, but these two were perfectly calm and relaxed the entire weekend. The summer weather had finally cooled off and the rain that threatened stayed away during the ceremony so we were able to be outside with a foggy mountain view.
I'm so excited to share the beautiful wedding of Kenna & John at Virginia Tech's Hahn Horticulture Garden. First of all, Kenna & John are such a sweet couple and I don't think I've ever been to a wedding where everyone is just so friendly, kind and incredibly welcoming! I feel so lucky to have been a part of it all!
I was once again lucky enough to second shoot for Cassie Carter Photography. Anna & Jeff's absolutely gorgeous wedding was at Braeloch on Glenburn Farms, a lovely venue in Vinton, VA with stunning mountain views and a pretty spectacular indoor space.
Yeony & Kent got married at the Inn at Westwood Farm, and it was by far one of the most unique weddings I've had the privilege to be a part of. Yeony is from Korea, and she met Kent while he was teaching there. They fell in love there and have since moved to Austin, Texas where just prior to their wedding, they had completed their masters degrees. After this wedding in Virginia, they had another ceremony in Korea before a well deserved honeymoon throughout Europe. Their wonderful friends and family were so kind, and two close friends actually performed the ceremony together, filling it with wonderful stories about Kent & Yeony's relationship.
