Every wedding I am a part of is so different and really reflective of the couple I'm working with. Maggie & Nick's military wedding was so timeless and classic while also being extraordinarily down to earth.
The venue was On the Windfall which is a gorgeous piece of land (heaven?) in the mountains of western North Carolina. Driving to the venue reminded me of plenty of backcountry camping trips and anytime I'm on windy backroads for a while, I know I'm going to be going somewhere beautiful. On the Windfall is no exception, the ceremony site is an open field at the top of the property with a fantastic view of three states (VA/TN/NC). The reception site, Pascova at On the Windfall, is a stone pavilion on a lake that you have to see to appreciate (I hope the photos do it some justice).
One of my favorite parts of this wedding story was that Maggie's wedding dress was the same one worn by both her mother and grandmother for their weddings. This was a surprise to Maggie's mom, and the moment she saw Maggie in her own mothers dress is one I am so grateful to have been a part of.
Other highlights include a very dapper dog, Nick cutting the cake with his sword, and the bride's father's band providing the entertainment!
