Taylor & Evan both attended Virginia Tech, but don’t live in the Roanoke area anymore, so it was really fortunate that I was able to meet up with them for their engagement photos last fall. It’s always so nice to meet in person before the wedding when possible and their engagement was no exception. (Also, it meant I got to meet their sweet golden retriever, Chewbacca, when I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to - which is always a bonus!)
Their wedding on the first day of fall was one I had been looking forward to for a long time. It was my second time at House Mountain Inn, and since the first time had been snowy, this was my first time seeing it in the fall. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The day was a bit overcast & rainy, but thankfully the Irvine Estate is the perfect spot even in a little rain! The ceremony location is outdoors, but covered, which means you don’t have to worry about rainy weather, and you still have the gorgeous views! Plus, it means you get to snuggle under an umbrella for some photos, and who doesn’t love that?
Everything was beautifully decorated and perfect for a fall wedding, and there was lots of Hokie appreciation throughout the day. Taylor, Evan & their guests kept the dance floor warm despite the chilly night air, and it was truly a beautiful and memorable celebration. Congratulations to the Millers!
