From the moment Rachel contacted me about her brunch wedding, I knew it was going to be such a good time. She and Josh were both so relaxed all day, focused only on what was important - each other! They were adorably lovey on one another and it was so fun being a fly on the wall all day, getting to see how sweet they were together!
I had been looking forward to this wedding for a while because the Maridor is beautiful and winter weddings are so much fun! Emily & Gregory are such great people too, and I knew their wedding would be gorgeous the minute Emily told me they would be using Black Watch tartan detailing. I also loved all the gold accents - from the sparkling bridesmaids dresses to the golden lights, this wedding had such a warmth about it (despite being on an incredibly cold day)!
4 people, 3 umbrellas, 1 backup plan and a whole lotta love make for one incredible elopement adventure! When Lauren and James' first plan for their location didn't work out (due to a closed road), there was no time wasted in rerouting to a new spot. With a little bit of drizzle, the setting couldn't have been more dramatic and beautiful with a picturesque sky and mist filling the gorge, we all agreed that it was a hell of a backup plan!
When my friend Cassie approached me to second shoot a wedding for a friend of hers, I jumped at the chance. When she told me it was going to be in Waterloo, IL at an old church ruins, I was a little skeptical but very curious. After doing a little investigating and hearing more details, I knew that this would be such a unique opportunity and I'm so happy it worked out! Becky & Chris' wedding was so unique and sweet and I'll let the photos speak for themselves.
Julianna & Nolan's engagement photos were on a big snow last winter, so when the first snow of this year was forecasted for their wedding day, I was over the moon. Fortunately, it wasn't too good to be true and we got a beautiful blanket of snow for their mountaintop (outdoor!) wedding and it truly couldn't have been more perfect!
There is so much I could say about this wedding and how much I loved getting to work with Sierra & Meriwether, but to be brief - it was absolutely incredible.
This style and all the details were above and beyond - so glam and elegant. The venue, Early Mountain Vineyard, was rustic and gorgeous and the early-winter weather was perfect! Both families were so wonderful and loving and the entire day was just filled with joy.
Allison happened to find me via a picture on Pinterest (which I am terrible at using, so I'm so lucky that happened!). Allison and Kyle's wedding was my first time at the Kyle House, which I'd been curious about as a venue for a long time. It's such a unique place, with a beautifully lit barn for the ceremony and an historic building for the reception. We were able to do a first look at the nearby Virginia Mountain Vineyards so Allison and Kyle could have some photos with a beautiful mountain view. The entire day was absolutely beautiful and the reception had some serious dance moves!
